2017 Rankings - August

by The Commish on Tuesday, August 8, 2017

Every month we rank the top 75 movies by season.  The box office year is a moving target, so make sure to read this column every month to find out how your movies rank, and what movies you should be targeting on the waiver wire.

Summer
1. (1) Wonder Woman – queen of the summer.
2. (2) Guardians of the Galaxy 2
3. (3) Spider-Man: Homecoming - $325 million looks like the final total.
4. (4) Despicable Me 3 – it probably won’t make as much as the original.
5. (5) Dunkirk – should make $200 million.
6. (6) Pirates of the Caribbean 5
7. (8) Cars 3
8. (7) War of the Planet of the Apes – down from the previous instalment, but in this crazy summer, not a horrible result.
